We started her at two, without poles --because they're so short with a low center of gravity, they have a good sense of balance. There's a nice ski hill (ok, nice considering we don't live in the mountains:) only about 4 miles from us. They let you use the bunny hill for free if you aren't using the lift. Last year because J sprained his ankle we didn't get her out at all. And now at almost five she's a lot taller, and had trouble so J got her some used poles for only $8. The snow this year has been REAL:)

Can she ski? How old do you need to be to ski?
This is assuming that there actual snow around, of course.
