Friday Fun Day.....

first we had a (not so light:) brunch at our local (ok, fine, not so local:) fav.......any guesses???? :)

We are much more prepared for water hazards: sharp shells and pinching crabs....bring it!

waiting for our dinosaur egg to hatch....

and finally, for Friday Fun day, we headed down to our new little River beach (salt water), and floated...sort a....unlike Monday it was NOT calm like a lake...it was VERY windy, and VERY choppy...so that called for boogy boards!  (we did try our new noodle chairs first, but they just weren't making it happen;) It's a nice place to go for locals...very quiet...not even many locals know about it, and the girls make friends there because there are families vacationing in the cottages on the river!  Oh, and I LOVE watching the doggies play....people bring their doggies down to go swimming and fetch balls...mostly labs:)  I have a thing for labs;)

I'm sure this will be one of our favorite boat landings as well!

Went Exploring, after our swim lessons.....

found a place where we can swim AND float!  It's kind of hard to float on a raft in the ocean; and I don't think most pools allow it (space constraints an all)....so......

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE rustic beach signs...did I mention I LOVE them!!!!  Love all the beachy add-ons too!

oh, and we started our second session of swim lessons; both girls moved up to intermediate advanced!  (Swim coach is often coaching in street clothes; not in the water with the kids)

eve of super moon 2013...take two

being a Sunday night, and with J having to get up VERY early for work; I opted to hit the beach for some solitary time tonight, working with the beautiful energies of the Atlantic and the Super Moon.  The high tide was EXCEPTIONALLY high tonight; at times, crashing over the sand dunes...it was amazing! So Blessed.

and when I returned home.....the deer were EVERYWHERE tonight; enjoying the super moon:) Saw a few driving through my town...then I saw a few out in the open in our "central park" area....then I saw three in someone's front yard...then I turned down my street and saw one in the front yard of the house next to the pond....and then I saw two SITTING under the tree of my next door neighbor's house...and finally, one standing in my front yard (and we wonder where one of our bushes disappeared to;).....I'm almost afraid to take Piper for his late-night stroll, he will go CRAZY

I wonder if the deer were waiting for me to leave so they could howl? :D

Uber cute bracelets from Island Cowgirl...

and I just may have to make these :D (NO, I'm NOT going to buy something I can easily make:)  I've donated PLENTY of funds to the Island Cowgirl piggy bank, and have no qualms about "recreating" a similar style bling:)

What a rip current looks like.....VERY IMPORTANT

Photo: RIP CURRENT: Stay safe while at the beach this summer! This could save your life. Do you know what a rip current looks like? We have probably all seen them and weren't aware of the danger. When you see waves and then a small section of "flat" waves in between, that's a rip current. The water is moving in the opposite direction. Stay clear of these areas!! This is NOT a calm place to hang out with small children. PLEASE SHARE AND LIKE OUR PAGE!

in addition, if you find you are being pulled out, NEVER try to move straight back to shore...walk parallel to shore until you no longer feel the pull of the current, and then head back in

Super Moon on the beach, and other fun (albeit insignificant;) happenings from our day

and the crystals are ready for their  super moon charge!

created a super HIGH tide!   there was NO beach today; there is normally quite a walk to get to the water during low tide, but this is the highest tide I've seen!

we love love LOVE flip flop kind of days;)

we're here!

hey there; just gearing up to howl for the super moon.......

the super moon over the Atlantic (the water is SO warm!)

and now, for other random snapshots of our day.....

his lap dog:D

my pretty poppies revisited, because I saw a picture of The Poppy Fairy:)

while cleaning out the old boat, J found this chart of the western islands of Lake Erie

My sweet girl decided to surprise me by doing dishes!! Unfortunately, I neglected to teach her to replace the sink strainer with a stopper. The poor girl had to keep refilling the water:/

and now for the most important news of all.....since I was stuck going to Walmart, which is one of my least favorite things to do; I'd rather go to the dentist :D.......I passed this aisle called "as seen on tv"---which I believe aisle like that are a major source of mockery---and I did it, I saw and bought this thing called HOT BUNS....and for the low price of $9.95, you TOO can have a fun bun like me:D  But wait, call in the next 15 minutes and we'll give you two!  ok, not really, but I still can't believe I bought it, and not only that, I actually like it!  (hey, it could be worse, it could be the pajama jeans; right?!  now, if only hot buns could give me my 20 or even 30 something buns back :D  I would DEFINITELY buy two :)
