Sledding in Our Backyard

The girls braved the elements yesterday (too young to be wimps like their mama:) The temperature during the day reached a high of 4 degrees with below zero windchills. I was fully expecting to spend 10 minutes getting them bundled up, and for them to be in 5 minutes later--but I was surprised they stayed outside a good 15 to 20 minutes; and they had a lot of fun! We have a nice sized lot; and our backyard is gently sloped--but that works really well when the snow turns to ice--those sleds can MOVE!

Looks like fun, if it just weren't so darn cold. :)

Sometimes I'm jealous of your snow...

I wouldn't mind it if it was the light fluffy stuff but this was HEAVY! I actually had to use a shovel to get it off the Sienna! Oh, and the bitter cold is not all that great either--I'm basically sitting here all winter waiting to move:)

And Karie--this cold is NOT fun---and to think it could get worse! At least it's supposed to warm up to the 30's this weekend--that will feel much better (and we need to dig our camper out of the snow so we can move it to use it soon:)
