Saturday Family Fun

we love NOT living right on Hilton Head....
1.  God forbid, should there ever be a hurricane in our path, we are further from the water.
2.  we don't have to deal with the tourist during our VERY short tourist season, if we choose not to.
3.  driving just a few miles down the road over the bridge always feels like a mini escape or vacation!

and tonight's vacation was a wonderfully fun-filled family night...as always.  We had to run to the marine shop (though he forgot to buy the most important item we needed....a water chart!  and we're planning on taking the boat out tomorrow :/  (and the store's not open on sundays:)  We also discovered a new yogurt bar....it's only been open three months and it was so YO delish:)  (though not as good as DelishhiYO:)

 saw some pretty flowers

then we hit the beach....the water was perfect, the temps were perfect...no crowds...did I mention it was perfect, well, except for one problem....Got stuck in a beach traffic jamm...had to wait for a bride and her father to make their way down the board walk....I REALLY wanted to photo bomb them :D
(I was disappointed to find out that they sprinkled artificial flower petals down...NOT environmentally safe for out beloved sea critters....so after the wedding party all left....the girls picked them up...that's my girls!)

just me, here in my HAPPY place :D
Blessings and Joy to you!

musical/theatre dance camp 2013 presents: "Peter Pan"

Fairy Girl as Tinkerbelle and Captain Hook
Little Angel as Wendy

The girls had a fabulous time all week in their summer camp through their ballet studio.  There were several camps offered this summer, by age groups....and their group was smaller (one girl had to drop out after two days)...so they only had four little girls.  But this four girls did a fabulous job in their performance of "Peter Pan!"  All week long they worked on set design, costuming, programs, learning lines, learning dances (including some tap dancing), songs.....plus some added arts and crafts!  M girls were so excited all week long!  At the end of the week, the parents were handed programs, handmade by the girls, inviting them to their performance.  I couldn't be more proud of my little performers...and I couldn't believe how many lines they memorized!!!!  Bravo!

p.s. isn't Fairy Girl the cutest Captain Hook EVER?  nobody else wanted the "boy" part...but Fairy Girl stepped up to the plate (that and she was able to play both roles because Tink wasn't in those scenes;)

And this is their "Encore" performance of a special interpretive/ad lib dance called: "The Rainbow Dance":
