Happy 71st Birthday to my Dad...November 2nd (All Soul's Day;)  Celebrated in Sea Pines!


 Had an incredible day yesterday celebrating my dad's 71st birthday and visiting the beach for the first time since before Hurricane Matthew. Stopped in my favorite coastal Rock Shop, Black Market Minerals and chatted with the amazing people who make the magic happen there, picked up a few stones and gave them a sweet salt water bath 💙. It's funny, although I only live a few miles from the coast line, it never fails, every time I visit, I notice as I'm leaving that my breathing is incredibly free and deep...I'm not conscious of holding my breath (sometimes I catch myself)....but Grandmother Atlantic always helps me to breathe like I've never breathed before ... grateful
 
This picture perfect day was very very wonky for awhile...not even sure why...but the energy was just off for the whole clan. Thankfully these wonky moments are few and far between... and a big part of it is because the beach (and some chocolate 😳) makes everything better!

My new banner! (you know, in case I ever decide to do a craft fair again, or maybe a farmer's market or a town festival....I may never do that, but one can never be too prepared :D

the lemons are getting real, folks!

first of two Veteran's Day Performances this week:

I'm thrilled and honored to be collaborating with Brigid's grove to add sparkle and words to their beloved hand-crafted goddesses!  This has been a very exciting venture!
 



and I started making some darn cute, nature-inspired earrings!

our week in review:

another spectacular week in Paradise!  AND Piper got to have his VERY first-ever golf cart ride!  He did VERY well and was very pleased!



A Pizza and Puppy Party and Grandma and Grandpa's! 


and since we're in alliteration mode, Peaches...lots and lots of Peaches...it's a South Carolina thing:)

And we now have sweet hummingbirds....I think they visit the sweet nectar every two minutes:)


and there were puppy strolls...close to sunset...I couldn't imagine spending much time in this heat with that fur coat, could you?
  South Carolina: Summer storms, strolls, sunsets, sparklers, and smores  (sorry...more alliteration...you know, it's an English Major thing:)
 
and then there are our small coastal town's sunset parties...this one is our annual Shrimp Festival
  
and What week would be complete without some beach and boating!

our week in review:

daddy's off this week for a staycation, and it's proven to be a spectacular blend of fun, celebration, dragonflies, catching up around the house, and relaxation!  Independence Day Festivities were a blast!  We hung out at Sun City, taking the golf carts down to the fireworks launch location, where we enjoyed food, music, family, fun, and a spectacular show! check out the fireworks launch that looks like a sunflower!


 




The next day, we hit the high seas!  We had SO much fun...we launched from our small coastal town's fabulous new boat landing, and accidentally found and enjoyed this amazing sandbar, lovingly titled, "the Redneck Riviera," by the locals, and finally hit the boat again and headed to Daufuski Island for a great, casual, coastal life dinner!
 
Last night we enjoyed our weekly Pool and Picnic night, with Grandma and Grandpa...this time, daddy finally joined us, for the first time!


and what would a Lowcountry life week be like, without ice cream outings and pastry picnics...and storms, lots and lots of storms!

our weekend in pictoral review:

Had a fun night with the family...just exploring our beautiful little coastal town. We've been here almost six years and there is still so much to discover and explore! Tonight we discovered a five story tree house with aerial views over the river....and since there's a boat dock there, it would be an amazing picnic spot (or just a great quiet spot to read a book while the girls play in the tree house.). We then drove to see our town's newest boat landing...we will be using it! Hubby wanted a beer, so we stopped at a local favorite and enjoyed a guitar and tenor sax duo; and we are capping the night off with a moonlight swim.
 
I'm genuinely so beyond grateful for each and every day; but there are just some days when my heart just bursts with Bliss and Gratitude 💙💜💛 Today we packed a picnic on our bikes, and rode down to the May River (18 miles round trip). We then arrived home, and the girls and I drove down to Shelter Cove to meet Grandma and Grandpa for ice cream (they treated 😀); and finally, my parents drove the girls home so I could have some quality solitary mama time at the beach
