meditational/mala/prayer beads

I used to make these meditational beads a couple of years ago; for some reason I REALLY enjoyed making these, and am thinking about offering these in my little Etsy shop again:

picture day!

I want a single recumbent! #sorebuns

Nice toasty ride to get lunch

Whining alert: I no longer get to ride on the back of the most cozy tandem recumbent; which also means I have to pedal again
On my wish list: a light-weight single recumbent! (J used to have one but I never liked the one he had;)

Our 14 Year Anniversary Evening

The girls decided to make us dinner.

Little Angel made a most delicious lasagna

Fairy Girl made a most scrumptious blueberry cheesecake!

This is one of the hand-dipped candles that Fairy Girl created at the Heyward House. She made a holder out of play dough and decided to light it in honor of our 14 year wedding anniversary.

14 years of beautiful blessings

gifts for soul sisters

I had a REALLY big order Sunday; (ok, a few orders, going to various addresses; but all from one repeat customer).  I LOVE my customers!  They share their very personal stories with me; and often choose or create pieces in honor of their stories.  I am humbled and honored that they choose me, not just to share their stories, but to create such meaningful pieces.

Lots of sparkly bling headed out today.....from one soulful goddess who is pure heart....gifts for her soul sisters...

she also asked me to custom create her another bracelet.  She had a custom one created last year as well, and loved it so much, she came back....for a few more;)

I'm VERY grateful for each and every one of my customers!

Today Marks our 14 Year Wedding Anniversary

introducing the all-new: Lowcountry Wind Symphony!

so honored to be a part of this dynamic planning committee!   The official invite went out this evening!

August 3, 2014

Dear Musician,

It is with great pleasure that we announce and invite you to join the all new Lowcountry Wind Symphony (LWS)!

The Lowcountry Wind Symphony is a non-professional, non-profit, all-volunteer wind band whose mission is to provide a quality musical experience for its members. The LWS is dedicated to:

• Providing an opportunity for life-long musical expression and enjoyment for its members
• Promoting artistic enrichment in our communities
• Preserving the rich repertoire and cultural history of the wind band

The Lowcountry Wind Symphony Planning Committee has invited Don Jemella and Steve Giove to be the directors---and they have both accepted!

The first official rehearsal date is to be announced – and it is coming soon. To make the LWS accessible to all, we are working on scheduling rehearsals that do not conflict with other area band programs.

Please let us know that you are interested in hearing more about the LWS by replying to this email, and please reply with a rehearsal night that fits your schedule. We will continue to keep you on our contact list.

Further details about Lowcountry Wind Symphony are coming soon, beginning with an initial meeting with those wishing to learn more about the LWS. We are very excited about getting underway and hope you will join us as we take our place among the fine performing ensembles in the area.

Sincerely,

The LWS Planning Committee

we had a GREAT day today!

We took the boat out for the first time since LAST August....I can't believe how quickly the summer got away from us.  Thankfully here on the coast there's a lot more summer to be had!

we had a couple of stowaways....the lizard and grasshopper seemed to make it back to the dock without incident...unfortunately this poor tree frog hopped out of the boat and into the open waters....I'm guessing that might not be the right environment for him:(

we had a LOT of fun today!  J has years and years of boating experience, but nothing prepared him for the conditions here in the Lowcountry...holy moly...expect the unexpected!  The dock area itself is a major challenge and you never know what you'll run into....first of all, this is a new boat for us, and it's a lot different than the old Bayliner....it has an open-front hull (instead of a cabin), which makes the front a lot lighter than he's used to...and the new motor on the back is really big, and heavy...giving the back a LOT more weight than he's used to.  Further, today, as he was trying to back the boat off the trailer, and turn it around to face forward toward the open waters, we got caught in the strong currents pulling us in one direction, and the wind in the other...we were side-ways.  And then, when we were done boating....we had the trailer all set in the water to drive the boat onto, when all of a sudden.....low tide happened!  it was that quick, and I had to back the trailer in further:)  All good, we're learning!

J also had some work to he needed to do on the trailer, while the boat was off the trailer...which means I got to just sit and float in the boat for awhile...ahhhhhhhh, heaven!  And, while floating on the boat, I saw a baby dolphin and a giant sea turtle!!!   And we saw a dolphin about 10 ft in front of us out on the water!!!!

this is me.......lounging :D

AND, in case boating wasn't enough....look what happened in my etsy shop while I was out having fun (seriously, this all happened while I was on the boat today):

it pays to have fun :D

a GREAT day was had by all!  so grateful
